Q:

Dear Sandra,

My daughter's Maltese, Bam-Bam, is a special part of our family, but he is very attached
to her.  When she goes out and leaves him, he is especially cranky and mopey.
Do you
think this is doggie depression?

Puppy's Granny

A:

Dear Granny,

Bam-Bam is very happy and loves your daughter and the family very much. The best way
to help him is to actually talk to your pup as you would a person.  Explain why she is
leaving, and when she leaves, reassure Bam-Bam that she will be coming home.

Woof, woof, Sandra
